Why Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a tried and tested solution that has helped many people to successfully resolve issues that other treatments failed to remedy.   

Most problems in our lives stem from deep rooted psychological issues. Issues that we may be completely unaware of.  Memories, experiences and thoughts from the past define us, dictating our habits and behaviour patterns.

After all if we keep doing and thinking the same things, we are going to get the same results; hypnotherapy is a kind and gentle self-intervention. There is no such thing as a "hypnotised feeling", you will simply feel relaxed, it's like day dreaming. 

Hypnotherapy is NOT used to treat Psychosis, personality disorders or severe psychological problems.

What Is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a process by which you are allowed to gently become integrated with your deep subconscious mind. The mind that controls your thought patterns and habits.

By guiding you into a relaxed, natural and safe place where you are at one with your subconscious, whilst also being fully in control of your mind, I will assist you in changing damaging ingrained thought patterns and behaviours. 

You will discover that your own mind can alter your subconscious, better your thoughts, habits and your life in general. 

Hypnotherapy allows your mind to work through your problems and be in complete control of the outcomes, the experiences and the process.  You will develop insights and solutions to your situations. The whole process is ultimately entirely client led by your own mind. 

Hypnosis is a completely natural, normal state of focus and relaxation of the mind and body.  You do not go to sleep or become unconscious. You are always fully aware of yourself and your surroundings, you are always in complete control.

Think of hypnosis as the same experience you feel as when you fade in and out of a movie or book, not immediately recalling what you saw or read, even if it was just mere moments ago.  It's like a guided daydream or meditation. 

What Hypnotherapy Is Not

Hypnotherapy is NOT a process where you are "possessed" or not in control of your mind; these are myths and misconceptions.

At any given point in the session you will be in complete control of your thoughts. You will be able to talk, answer questions and be able stop the session at any time, without any resistance whatsoever. Everything you do is under your control.
